CANADIAN NATIONAL - 1960 Experimental Scheme
While CN was figuring out its new corporate branding direction in 1960, it repainted a trio of cars in this eye-catching scheme of light grey with a broad sky-blue band across the windows. The problem was that no one who saw it liked it! Various combinations were tried and it was later settled to use the light grey and black that we have all come to know and love as their 1961 scheme, also affectionately known as the "Wet Noodle" scheme.

CANADIAN NATIONAL - Stainless Steel Scheme
Not many people know that Canadian National picked up a small fleet of second-hand stainless steel Budd equipment from a variety of other railways in the period before Expo '67 in Montréal. One thing that they lacked however was a stainless steel baggage car so they painted this one, a regular NSC-built baggage-express car, silver with a black window band to match.
