HO Bombardier LRC - VIA Rail Canada
Since 1982, the Bombardier LRC (Light, Rapid, Comfortable) has dominated VIA Rail Canada services in the Ontario-Quebec Corridor. Although the locomotives have now been retired, VIA has recently announced a major rebuilding project that will extend the lives of the coaches and "VIA 1" cars by another 20 years.

Orders for the LRC locomotive have been a lot lower than we had hoped. We
are still going to produce it, but not until after The Canadian in 2012.
It's a money-losing project, so we have decided not to delay The Canadian or
the FP9A to bring the LRC locomotive out any sooner. For those of you who
have ordered the LRC locomotive, thanks for your continued patience. You
will have your model before the end of 2012.
