HO Scale Bombardier LRC

Since 1982, the Bombardier LRC (Light, Rapid, Comfortable) has dominated VIA
Rail Canada services in the Ontario-Quebec Corridor. VIA has recently
announced a major rebuilding project that will extend the lives of the
coaches and "VIA 1" cars by another 20 years.
Our new Ready-to-Run LRC locomotive, LRC coach and LRC "VIA 1" car
will feature the same level of detail as our other Super Continental Line
passenger trains. The first release is the original VIA paint scheme. More
paint schemes and locomotive/car numbers will follow.
We are also producing the LRC in Amtrak colors. Amtrak tested the LRC
between 1980 and 1982 and the locomotives and cars could be seen primarily
in the Northeast and the Midwest.
The LRC coaches are due in late 2009 and the LRC locomotives are due in
mid-2010. Click on a link at left to read more.
The LRC project is being made possible with the gracious assistance of Exporail, Canada's national railway museum. This incredible
collection alone is worth the trip to the Montreal area. Click on the image
