Last Chance Order Deadlines Dear Rapido Customer, The most often-asked question we have received lately is "when are the Osgood Bradley cars coming?" Well, soon - VERY soon. Tooling modifications are done, samples approved, and production will start during Christmas week. These have proved to be one of the most anticipated series of cars that we have done yet, and pre-orders are strong. Of course, once people see the final product we know that they'll want more! So, here it is, the LAST CHANCE to reserve these popular cars. Remember, we are building these strictly to order, and there will be no extras on this run. We've already had to turn away both dealers and distributors who sold out of the first run of Wide-Vision Cabooses and who wanted more, and we don't want to have to do that again on the Osgood Bradley cars. So please, if you are a dealer, check your back orders and requests and let your distributor know how many more you need. If you are a model railroader interested in these cars, you need to reserve them with your local store now. But don't delay. After noon (EST) on December 18 these cars will be SOLD OUT. For the N scale modelers, we are also finalizing production quantities on the next run of paint schemes and the new Dayniter cars at the same time. New Web Site Dealer Listing Service We have started a new Dealer Listing page on our web site showing Rapido dealers worldwide. As we sell direct to dealers in Canada it has been very easy for us to list those shops. However, because Rapido sells through distributors in the US and abroad we have no direct record of which dealers carry our products. If you are a Rapido dealer we would very much like to include you on this list! Here's how to be included - if you do carry Rapido products please send us an e-mail with the subject line "Dealer Listing". Please include the full store name, address, phone number and web site address if applicable. Also include either a photo of Rapido products on your shelves, a copy of a recent invoice that includes Rapido products or a link to your web page that shows Rapido products in stock. We will make every effort to include your listing in a timely manner. Also, for those of you with web sites, please be sure to include Rapido Trains Inc. as one of the available product lines on your site. If you need a Rapido logo, you are welcome to use any from our site, or click here and copy what you need. Both dealers and members of the public are welcome to use any image from our web site (with the exception of Gallery images), as long as the images are duely credited.
Yellow is in the Eye of the (Cupola) Beholder Jason, Dan and I have now received three reports that some of the TH&B cabooses recently shipped have a slightly different yellow on the cupola than on the rest of the body. We did some very scientific tests - Jason walked around with the caboose in his hand. He found the color variation completely invisible outside but slightly visible inside under our office lighting. Apparently it can be more noticeable in some cases. Because we want to keep our customers happy, we are going to make a small number of replacement cupolas. If you can see a color difference on your TH&B caboose and it's really bugging you, all you need to do is contact us and we will send you a replacement cupola when they arrive in February. Let us know what car number you have and the barcode number on the box, as well as your name, address and phone number. We need to know by Christmas so we can make enough cupolas. Holiday Schedule Rapido will be closed for the holidays from December 21-28. However, we will still be monitoring e-mails periodically during that week, but may not be able to act on any requests until after we get back. Jason will be quarantined in quirky, quaint Quebec, I'll be carousing and caroling around Connecticut, and Dan will be turfed on his tuchus in Toronto.
