Early Amtrak Extra Intermediate Cars

In 1972, the Department of Transportation increased Amtrak's TurboTrains to 5 cars each. The car numbers are accurate for the 5-car train. The numbers are different from the Late Amtrak TurboTrain so you can accurately run both 5-car trains on your layout.

Our extra Intermediate Cars have the correct window arrangements and interiors for the additional cars added in 1972. They are different from the TurboCafe-Coach included with the TurboTrain.
